Site Foreman
Role:
Responsible for the onsite management / completion of civil infrastructure, geotechnical and environmental remediation projects. This position will primarily require the coordination of resources to self-perform and execute projects in a safe, qualitative, and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of health and safety, and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure the safety of all workers and protection of the public
- Effectively managing own workforce, equipment, materials, and trade contractors to attain targeted profit
- Managing cost control during construction
- Coordinating of personnel and equipment resources
- Preconstruction activities such as schedule development, construction sequencing and value engineering
- Working closely with the project manager, project coordinator, owner, consultants, trade contractor’s inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans
- Achieving project schedule milestones by looking ahead and identifying weekly deliverables for own forces and trade contractors
- Implementing corrective action where necessary to catch up and meet key milestone dates
- Proactively identifying, addressing, and resolving issues and problems as or before they occur
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, and sub-trades with a focus on mutual trust and respect
Reporting:
Site Foreman will report to the General Superintendent
