Site Foreman

Role:

Responsible for the onsite management / completion of civil infrastructure, geotechnical and environmental remediation projects. This position will primarily require the coordination of resources to self-perform and execute projects in a safe, qualitative, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of health and safety, and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure the safety of all workers and protection of the public
  • Effectively managing own workforce, equipment, materials, and trade contractors to attain targeted profit
  • Managing cost control during construction
  • Coordinating of personnel and equipment resources
  • Preconstruction activities such as schedule development, construction sequencing and value engineering
  • Working closely with the project manager, project coordinator, owner, consultants, trade contractor’s inspectors and regulatory agencies to prepare and execute project plans
  • Achieving project schedule milestones by looking ahead and identifying weekly deliverables for own forces and trade contractors
  • Implementing corrective action where necessary to catch up and meet key milestone dates
  • Proactively identifying, addressing, and resolving issues and problems as or before they occur
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, and sub-trades with a focus on mutual trust and respect

Reporting:

Site Foreman will report to the General Superintendent
